PAUL HOYT
Paul grew up around watches as his father is a longtime collector and one of the charter members of the International Watch and Jewelry Guild (IWJG). An interest in team leadership led him to the business world, and prior to founding Connoisseur of Time, he held an executive position within a training and development firm based outside of Atlanta.
He founded Connoisseur of Time in 2005. Since that time the company has grown to become an internationally trusted seller of collectible vintage and luxury watches and is very privileged to count among its more than 5,000 clients many public figures and leaders of industry, entertainment, and government, and museums.
He has overseen several thousand sympathetic restoration projects and bought and, alongside the COT team, helped to sell very fine watches of diverse brands, eras, and types, from simple time-telling pieces to complicated masterpieces. His specialty is vintage wristwatches from the finer Swiss houses.
He enjoys sharing his passion and has been asked to contribute to major watch magazines and publications in the U.S. and internationally.
When not working with watches, he loves spending time with his wife Brandi, their two daughters, and their Brittany pup named Jaeger L. Hoyt. Their slightly over-caffeinated Jack Russell Terrier Audemars Piguet crossed the rainbow bridge much to the sadness of all.

DR. JAMES MILLER
A second generation watchmaker and watch and tool collector with over 50 years of experience working on vintage era watches, Dr. Miller was busy working at the bench in his father’s watch and jewelry store at the age of 13. By 16, he was already performing much of the business’s watch repair work. Also a Doctor of Optometry, during his years as a practicing optometrist his office gained the reputation as the go-to place in town to drop off your old watch for repair. He prides himself on his ability to employ traditional watchmaking methods and techniques. When not working at his prized “masterpiece” workbench made in 1887 (he has three other benches to work at as well), he enjoys making his own watchmaking tools.
